One Brand Review – Beaute Nouveau

Hello friends and fam!

I’m just going to state the obvious and say that it’s been a hot minute since I last blogged. To be perfectly honest, my life has taken a lot of twists and turns within the last month and for the first time in a LONG time, I decided to just live. This summer alone, I met my childhood hero, reconnected with amazing old friends, went on unforgettable adventures, bought some sick clothes (which you will get to see in upcoming photo shoots!), and I started a new chapter as a single, independent human being. I couldn’t be more grateful for all of these experiences.

Now, in the midst of this thing called life, I was also introduced to an exciting skincare brand run by a true #LadyBoss. I am very proud to present you with Beaute Nouveau! Beaute Nouveau is a botanical skincare brand founded by a one-of-a-kind woman with boundless expertise in the beauty industry. In case Beaute Nouveau seems familiar, you might recognize the GORGEOUS packaging from the shelves of Pigment! Or, if retail ain’t your jam – there was also a beautifully written recent article about the company in San Diego Magazine.

As all my supporters know, I love to be transparent and honest with any review of any product. The products I am about to review were generously gifted to me by the wonderful owner, however, this does not mean I will be any less straightforward with my thoughts and opinions. I hope you guys enjoy my One Brand Review on Beaute Nouveau – let’s jump in!

Here is an overview shot of all the lovely products I will be reviewing!

Let’s start with the Rosette Facial Soap! Now, I will be totally and utterly blunt about the fact that I haven’t always been big on using a bar of soap as a cleanser. It’s still a bit of a foreign concept to me simply because I’m accustomed to a gel or cream cleanser that comes in a bottle or tube – but this facial soap is a game-changer. I like to use this in the morning and evening after I remove my makeup with a facial wipe and it’s SO gentle and nice on my skin. Plus, I’m low-key obsessed with the fresh scent. Anybody who knows me in real life, knows I automatically reject using anything with an artificial fragrance so I greatly appreciate the all natural floral/lemon scent of this soap.

I will say, the only negative is (as stated on the packaging) that you must keep this out of your eyes. Trust me, I learned the hard way that it burns like nobody’s business if it gets in your eyes! This is a major downside for me and probably the only reason why I wouldn’t purchase the product on my own. Even though I use wipes, I also LOVE to use my cleanser as backup makeup remover and it’s a bit of a disappointment that I cannot use this super cute and aesthetically pleasing soap for that purpose. You win some, you lose some.

Next up is the Flower Water! Beaute Nouveau offers many types of facial waters and the one I was lucky enough to try was the Rosehips & Rose Geranium Flower Water. Ok, I think it goes without saying that I have a legit infatuation with all things related to roses. Well, this product is no exception – it’s pretty damn good. I feel like the mist is so fine and refreshing, plus it smells very sweet! The scent is hard for me to pinpoint, but it’s definitely more a sweet, summertime floral smell, and who doesn’t love that? This facial water did amazingly at adding hydration to my morning routine – PLUS (big plus) you get a ton of product for the price: 4 Ounces for $28!

Speaking of hydration – meet one of my new favorite moisturizers. This is the Creme Florette and yes, it does feel as luxurious as it sounds. I was shook the first time I tried this moisturizer because I was not ready for how silky and smooth the consistency was. I feel like if you suffer from a dry complexion – this will become your new best friend. Personally, my skin has dryness along the lower half of my face and the upper half tends to get oily, however, I’ve been using this moisturizer both day and night for weeks and it’s been heavenly. I’m also a huge fan of the ingredients aloe vera juice and rose oil, both of which are great for  sensitive skin.

The last and final item that I will be reviewing is also my absolute favorite. This is the Clay & Mineral Masque and it is everything. This was my first experience using a mask that didn’t come prepared in a jar like the many masks I’ve reviewed in the past, but I’m still here for it. The directions state that you can use this mask two ways: The first would be in the shower and the second out of the shower. For the sake of truly embracing my first powder mask, I tried both ways and I definitely feel like my preferred method of use is out of the shower.

If you are in a rush and not looking to spend time out of the shower on skin care, this would be perfect for a quick little cleanse while you rinse off, however, I love to exfoliate and let the steam open up my pores so I can apply this mask after I finish my shower. I like to open the jar and pour out a quarter size amount of powder into a little bowl and then I add a small amount of water and mix it up with a face brush. Once the powder magically transforms into a paste, I just use the same brush to spread it all over my face. This mask has helped to significantly decrease my inflammation and heal my breakouts. Thank you SO much Beaute Nouveau for bringing this product into my life!

Now, if you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’ve searched far and wide for a replacement or dupe for the infamous Glam Glow SUPERMUD Clearing treatment Mask, which retails for an appalling $69. . .  I don’t think this Clay & Mineral Masque is an exact dupe, HOWEVER, this does strike me as a direct competitor to the boujee Tata Harper Purifying Mask, another cult favorite at $65.

Thank you so much for taking a journey with me in getting to know Beaute Nouveau’s amazing products. I forsee big things for this brand and I am honored to have them as my first beauty collab! If you’re interested in checking out more from Beaute Nouveau – hit em up here:
