Hello friends and fam!
Holy shit, I literally can’t believe that February is over and we’re already onto the next month. Is is just me, or did January feel like eternity BUT February definitely flew by like nobody’s business.
As you could tell from my last blog post, I spent a majority of this month focusing on moving! As of early February, yo girl is a resident of Downtown San Diego. Yes ma’am. Thus far I am loving it and it’s still hard for me to believe that I was able to accomplish that goal so early in the year. I am very confident that it’s all going up from here!
Aside from moving, I’ve also been jumping back into shooting some artsy fashion photos – you’ll all be seeing that content pretty soon. Something I totally looked over when I got my infamous haircut is that I didn’t have any new pictures to post and this is why my Instagram (follow me, yeah?) was nothing but throwbacks for a few weeks!
Ok – I think that’s it for my mini life update. Let me know if you have any other questions about my move or my hair or anything at all really – I’m here to answer everything the best way I can. Let’s just jump into the beauty:
Ok guys – trust me when I say that I haaate having to throw expensive ass stuff into my monthly beauty faves because I know that it’s so annoying to have to hear about how ~amazing~ something so pricey is. Keep in mind, I do giveaways periodically on my Instagram (oh look, another shameless plug!) and if you ever want me to feature a certain item, just let me know!
This mask is seriously a facial in a jar. I love everything about it from the consistency to the smell – it just has a very luxurious feeling to it. I usually apply this mask on after I finish exfoliating my skin in the shower and after a good 10-15 minutes of wear, it leaves my face feeling so fucking soft and clean. I will note that when you wash it off in the sink, the mask itself turns into a mild scrub. This is something that I genuinely love because I usually have trouble with texture and dryness on certain parts of my face, but if you’re extra sensitive to scrubs then I might pass on this product.
So, I’m not one that typically likes to splurge on certain items – lip balm being one of them – however, I have officially found an amazing option for any of my green beauty loving friends. I picked this amazing lip balm from Beaute Nouvea up at my all-time favorite little boutique, Pigment, on a complete whim and I was pretty damn pleased! This lip balm has a unique cooling effect on my lips (must be the French mint!) and I love how easily it applies a perfectly smooth layer.
I genuinely didn’t think it could be possible to be blown away by a lip balm until I tried this one. Btw, in case this beautiful brand looks familiar – I did do a handy One Brand Review blog post on some amazing Beaute Nouveau skin care in case you want to check it out!
Oh OUAI. . . I feel like I was incredibly late to the OUAI game.
So, many of you know that I am not one that likes to use a shit ton of hair products, BUT, ever since I cut my hair I feel a little more inspired to try new things and take excellent care of my short locks. i found this product at Urban Outfitters and tbh I only made the decision to purchase it based on the super cute packaging. I’ve never read, seen, or heard any positive reviews about this specific product, but I know that OUAI is one of those trendy brands that everyone seems to love for one reason or another.
Well, I have officially drank the OUAI Kool-Aid and I have never been happier – plus, my hair has never looked better! I love using this after the shower when my hair is damp and I think it definitely adds a bit of volume and leaves a smooth texture. A++
Let is be known that this is OFFICIALLY my absolute favorite high-end mascara of all time. For real. I know that’s a big statement for any beauty obsessed weirdo to make – but this have literally been my holy grail mascara since high school! Yup, since I was like 15 or 16, this has been the one I’ve counted on to separate my eyelashes and make them blacker than my soul.
I genuinely can’t say enough good thing about this mascara – the wand is exceptional and allows you to coat even the smallest eyelash with product. In addition, the formula is lightweight, yet still very much pigmented and makes you lashes look like they’re naturally long and glamorous. Everything. Just everything.
You know, I really appreciate when products actually do what they claim to do. Such is this eye brightener from Becca. If you suffer from really dark circle or hyperpigmentation under your eyes – I HIGHLY recommend investing in this product.
Truth be told, I only ever use it for photo shoots because it is an extra step to add into my already long makeup process, but I can guarantee that this will come in handy on those days when you clearly couldn’t sleep well. Just get it now and you can thank me later!
Ok friends, that wraps up all of the beauty and skin care items that I’ve been loving throughout all 28 days in February! I hope you enjoyed and don’t forget to follow the fun on my Instagram (I should really make a drinking game out of this). Till next time! 🙂
