April 2018 Beauty Favorites

Hey there friends and fam!

Let me just start by saying that it feels really, really good to be back. Your girl is back to posting on the regular and being an active member of society again! In case you have absolutely no clue what I’m talking about – please read the post, Why I Stopped Posting On IG . . .  That piece will give you all the answers you need to understand where I’ve been mentally, spiritually, and sexually (well, maybe not that lol).

Anyway, I hope you have all had an amazing month! For me, this month had a few ups and downs but two things which really excited me were A.) I FINALLY GOT MY EDC TICKETS!! If you wanna holla at yo girl and sneak a peek at what I’ll be wearing at EDC Las Vegas, just click here. And B.) I am making a very big girl goal of attempting to save enough money to pay my rent TWO MONTHS in advance. This means no random shopping trips, cutting down on expensive meals, and adulting at my highest capacity. Can I do it? I sure fucking hope so.

Ok guys – before I go off a huge tangent about saving money, let’s just jump into the beauty!

Clove + Hallow Makeup Melt – $28.00

Ok, literally anyone who wears makeup – you need this. For real. I am by far one of the most anal people when it comes to removing my makeup. It’s my least favorite part of my skin care routine, but I can tell a MAJOR difference in my face when I do use a makeup removing balm, like this one, versus when I don’t. This makeup melt is made up of all natural ingredients and I’m obsessed with the way it smells (think coconutty delight lol). Using this makeup melt made washing my face immensely easier and I encourage anyone who uses false lashes, cake face foundation, and stubborn liquid lipsticks to try it.

Have I persuaded you yet? Well, in case you need one more incentive to start taking better care of your skin – I happen to have a super generous coupon code from Clove + Hallow! Just use the code Affiliate15 at checkout for 15% off your entire order. As you guys know, I’m a huge proponent for only raving about products that I genuinely use and adore so check them out!

BeeCause Green Tea & Seaweed Face Mask – $15.00

My god – I didn’t even know how satisfying making a powder mask could be. I feel like a regular Martha fucking Stewart whenever I have to formulate my own skin care products and this mask is one of my faves. I actually purchased this powder mask on a total whim because I found it at Anthropologie (shout out to my UO fam) and was obsessed with the ingredients. Here I go again with my annoying fascination with all things organic. Honestly, for someone who eats like a malnutritioned child, I try my BEST to only invest in skin care that won’t completely obliterate my face with chemicals.

Anyway – this mask is the shit and you actually get quite a bit of product for the price! If you are interested in trying out powder face masks, I highly encourage it. I love being able to add water, lemon juice, organic apple cider vinegar, or literally anything to my masks to help aid my skin and its special needs.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eye Shadow Palette – $42

Holy shit ladies and gents – Anastasia has done it again. I’m hooked. I’m shook. I’m here for it. ABH is the only brand in the entire world who now has not one, but two of my all time favorite palettes. Crazy, right? Now, I’m going to be very real and say that at first I genuinely had no interest in this product, BUT that all changed once I actually saw how beautiful the shades looked in person at my local Sephora.

Isn’t it funny how that works? Usually stuff looks 20x better online and then tends to disappoint in person. Nevertheless – I love this palette and I found myself reaching for it almost every day this month. My favorite shades (in no particular order) are Orange Soda, Sultry, and Dusty Rose. Obsessed. Go buy it. Just do it. Anastasia Beverly Hills is A++

Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliner – $21.00

Now this is an oldie, but a goodie. I totally forgot I even owned this eyeliner (yes, my makeup collection really is that insane), so I decided to try it out again to tightline and I was VERY pleasantly surprised! Now, if my memory serves me correctly, I don’t think I was a huge fan on using it on my waterline . . . It’s very rare nowadays for me to add liner to my waterline, but back in the day that was basically all I did and it took me forever and a day to find a liner that didn’t smudge away.

Although I probably wouldn’t recommend this as my first choice for the waterline, I 104% think it’s amazing to tightline with! That is the only way that I use it and so far so good!

Fresh Beauty Black Tea Aging Delay Firming Serum – $98.00

Ok, so I know this product may be a little extra – but I can’t help it! As many of you know, I am on a mission to look seventeen years old until the day I die and I firmly (no pun intended) believe this serum will help me on that mission. The serum itself is very rich and thicker than most serums I’ve ever used before. I’m living for it though! I like to specifically wear it as a part of my nighttime skin care routine solely because it’s a bit too thick to pull off under makeup. If they made a slightly thinner or less heavy version of it for daytime, you bet your girl would be all over it!

I came across this serum on a trip to Nordstrom and the nice skin care specialist told me that if I wanted to keep the plumpness and youthfulness of my skin – then it’s all about preventative measures. Seriously guys, it’s legit. Take it from me or from Nordstrom or from your best friend’s cat. #SeventeenForever.

Ok, friends and makeup lovers – that is it! I hope you enjoyed getting a taste of what types of things I’ve been putting on my face for the last month. Till next time! 🙂
