Hi, how are you?

Welcome to YourGirlChase! The podcast and blog where we talk about life and make beautiful things happen. Here you’ll find written content about self-image, beauty and wellness, fashion, and much more! This is a safe place for anyone who needs a friend and I hope to bring you some sort of value or, at the very least, a good laugh.

Curated by me, Perla Chase. . . and yourself?

Where are you from?

Born and raised in San Diego, California. My little piece of paradise.

What is your ethnic background?

I am Mexican, Italian, and Persian. My mother is half-Mexican and half-Italian. My father is half-Persian and half-Mexican – mix it all together and you get me!

Are you a professional blogger?

In a way, yes! But I like to think I wear many hats – I don’t just sit on my ass and type all day. My favorite thing to do is to curate creative content. This means I involve myself in everything from photography to styling to editing to modeling and anything in between. One of my life goals is to create something bigger than me out of YourGirlChase.

Think Gary Vaynerchuck, but fashion.

How old are you?

I am 24. My birthday is on November 13th. #Scorpio #90sBaby

How would you describe your personal style?

I can’t really pinpoint a specific style that totally encompasses my aesthetic. I love romantic themes and opulence, but I also aim to be as effortlessly edgy as possible. My go-to response whenever someone asks this questions is:

Imagine if Elizabeth Taylor and Kurt Cobain had a love child . . . that would be me.

Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?

I don’t know! I genuinely don’t have a single idea where I will be in five years, much less ten years. If someone would’ve told 15 year-old Perla Chase –  a clueless ballerina who sucked at high school – that five years later she’d be a functioning member of society with more side hustles than she could count, she probably woud’ve burst out in laughter.

I like to think that I’ll be somewhere unexpected, but happy. I try my best to believe that there is always something amazing waiting to happen.

Who designed that dope logo?

My go-to designer is Quinn Vasquez, a good friend and former co-worker of mine who also happens to be a graphic design wizard created my floral crescent moon and it’s everything.

Who takes all those dope photos?

It varies depending on the photo shoot! I have a number of amazing photographer/blogger friends that have been generously helping me follow my dreams. I am endlessly grateful to have such a supportive circle of people in my life. In regards to the product shots (usually in my beauty-related posts), those are taken by me.
